Great ideas?

great_ideas.jpg
cherries and ponies, Nikon Coolpix 4500

Part of the creative process is giving yourself permission to explore, get wacky, be ridiculous. Last week began with cherry earrings and a pony necklace, and ended with a tomato shaped like an ear that we actually pierced at a dinner party! (with the silver ring that holds the measuring spoons together)

I've been thinking "out of the box" as they say in regard to jewelry design.
I think I'm onto something.

Don't you wish you could keep those cherries alive forever?

By the way, thank you for all the support about the tight jeans thing. I loved hearing your stories about vinyl and dieting and making your own pact to enjoy yourself (and your body) fully, right at this moment. So inspiring.

Man, I really like that pony necklace. I know it's just a joke, but you should seriously consider that. I like it a lot. :) Your necklaces are super.

shes so pretty!

The pony is hilarious.

Seriously though, if you wanted to make cherry earrings out of real cherries you could just pour that clear goo all over it. Like those silly magnets of fruit tarts that you only see at cheap stores. Or like the fake food in japanese restaurant windows.

awwww. the cherry earings are awesome! have you seen the film amelie? the beginning bit shows her doing typical kiddy-like things...including wearing cherries as earings!!! smashing!

you CAN wear real cherries in your ears, why the *#@! not, although they would be seasonal. rasberries on the fingertips wouldn''t even last the eve, save for you holding your hands away from everyone trying to nibble them off. summer time yum! go forward on the jewelry outside of the box, its a must. :)

I just have to say I love Sasha's smile (it is Sasha isn't it?) How inspiring. I love the cherries - I do think your on to something.

I've been *trying* to explore, get creative and ridiculous lately - thanks for reminding me to keep on trying to think outside the box.

Hey guys,

You know the cherries are fake, right?

and the pony is suspended in a sort of

mid-air plain of pony land...

I WISH I could actually wear cherries in my ears and raspberries on my fingertips.

I like the pony necklace, but maybe it is a little "big" - maybe just one strand of beads holding it - although I don't know how the holes are positioned in it, so maybe that wouldn't work. And, maybe the cherry earings could just be one cherry, not 3. That is just my opinon, I seem to be favoring more minimalist items lately.

Your beads look delicious like "hard candy"!

I truely covet them!

Right now I'm also exploring possibilities in jewlery, in a very lateral way...with asian inspired pendants.
