April 19, 2004candied poppies
So many beautiful sights this weekend: -My dear, beautiful friend Jen who came to visit me from Chicago. Seeing the city through her eyes was such a gift. Every new view made her tear up with joy. And finally, celebrating my friend Susan's 50th birthday in the Marin Headlands. Happy birthday Susan! Posted on April 19, 2004 10:41 AMComments
Your pictures are so lovely. Icelandic Poppies...delightful. I think Bjork is an Icelandic poppy. Yes. Sark is a sunflower...(Happy Belated B-Day!) I love classifying people as flowers.
One of these days I would love to see your San Francisco. It is unlike the memories I have of past visits to the city. So colorful and vibrant and gorgeous. Or am I describing the hostess? xx Posted by: christine at April 20, 2004 09:50 AMThat picture of you on Jen's page is really cute. Your hair grew fast or your hair just looked like it was short in your wedding pictures and your picture to the left. Really cute :) Posted by: erika at April 20, 2004 08:33 AMthose poppies are so yummy I'm sitting reading this at work and feeling HUNGRY ! I'll have to stop off at a florest tonight. [i need to start REALLY learning the nooks and crannies of my digital camera!] Posted by: crissy at April 19, 2004 06:49 PMspeaking of seeing the city through new eyes, do you have any recommendations for this girl? I'm visiting San Francisco next month, for the first time, and I want to do some non-touristy things in addition to the touristy. oooh ...Jonatha Brooks...I'm jealous..I wonder if she'll make her way to Maine...and poppies too!!!... tiny crocuses are just poking out here...ahhh..a bit of spring...mud and raking and treasures under the mulch...happy happy happy! Posted by: fern at April 19, 2004 05:08 PMThose poppies deserve to be painted! I'm so glad you had such a great weekend. You & Jen seem like the excellent pair for a beauty seeking adventure, being such beautiful ladies yourselves. Your weekend sounds delicious. :) Posted by: rachael at April 19, 2004 03:07 PMi saw a really darling thing this weekend, too. a high school girl driving a car with "will you go to prom with me? written on the back window with bright red vinyl letters",the girl glowing, bopping, happy as a lark, smiling on clouds in the front seat, oblivious to all around her! adorable! i love god's scriptwriters! Posted by: chrissy at April 19, 2004 02:54 PMIt sounds like such a beautiful weekend, you are such a gifted soul to have so many beautiful people in your life and to see such beauty in the world.
