Photo Friday-Analog

Photo Friday's theme this week is "Analog." {the challenge is that we are supposed to post photos taken with film}

And a story about process:
A friend of mine has a sister who is developmentally disabled and is a very talented artist. He loves photography and gifted her a disposable camera, very excited and curious about what she would capture.
A few weeks later, he returned home for a visit and asked her how she liked the camera. "I loved it!" she said enthusiastically.
"Did you shoot any photos?"
"Yep."
"Can I see them?"
"What?"
"Can I see the photos you took?"
"I don't have any."
“Didn't you shoot any photos on the camera I gave you?”
“Yep. It was so much fun! Then I threw the camera away.”

the texture is great. very grainy.
this reminds me of film... it looks like you've cut a single frame and posted it.
great choice for photo friday!

I guess the message here is that it really is all about the journey, not the destination. Great post, Andrea. You rock! :)

i have a friend who has a severely developmentally disabled uncle who takes hundreds and millions of photos with an old 110 camera that doesn't have film in it.

The story is a nice one too. I get way too wrapped up and involved in the end result, sometimes. It's nice to be reminded to have passion for the process.
