"When it's over, I want to say:
all my life
I was a bride married
to amazement.
I was the bridegroom, taking
the world into my arms..."

I found your blog and website through Ali Edwards. I have to say about this poem and photo, Wow, it grabs me by the heart and makes it skip a beat. This is simply gorgeous.

beautiful photo. i went to colbert's exhibit friday night. i cannot even describe how beautiful it was... so peaceful. it was surreal. the moments, the words of his letters, the interaction between human and animal. simply amazing; i need to go back.
it's not to be missed.

Thank you so much for posting the link to ashes and snow. I love elephants and collect them. These are by far the most beautiful pictures with elephants I have seen.

...and such a lot of broohaha over the Gates. Well enough, but Colbert's photos at the nomadic museum? Not much press -- I suspect they are the un-sung masterpieces in the city right now.
Will report back...
