May 08, 2005Happy Mother's Day!
The photos above are of my sister and her husband Matthew who are expecting a little boy in the next few weeks. I will be an aunt soon! and that is very exciting. Happy day to all of you. I know that Mother's Day can mean different things to different people. It's not always the easiest day on the calendar for some, and I want to honor those of you who have a difficult time with this holiday. Blessings to all of the moms, the moms to be, and the moms of spirit we are surrounded by. Posted on May 8, 2005 04:11 PMComments
Congratulations to your sister. And being an Aunt is one of the most treasured things that has happened to me. I want to thank you for writing such insightful thoughts. Each and every entry you make has such thoughtfulness and insight that I am just so always amazed. Considering those who might have a hard day on Mother's day made me realize that there are so many who just breeze through that day like it's just another holiday to celebrate. This will be my 6th mother's day without mine and it is not easy. Ever. I do however celebrate. I celebrate my mom Pat, and her unique way of making the world around her bright and energized. She was an amazing artist, friend and mom to me. The world has seemed just a bit flat since she's been gone, that is for sure. But I get through it all remembering her and her wonderful spirit. Andrea, you actually remind me a lot of her and again I just want to thank you so much for being who you are! (okay enough of the gushing...) Can't wait to hear all your Auntie stories! Posted by: jill at May 15, 2005 08:21 AMTo have you for an aunt--what a blessed child! Posted by: Darcie at May 11, 2005 03:56 PMYes, Happy Mother's Day to all. Posted by: Carrie at May 9, 2005 07:48 AMOh, your sister looks like a goddess--loved and ripe and very, very happy! What a gorgeous pregnancy. Today I had a message on my machine from my dear artist friend who is a wonderful mother. She couldn't stop raving about her Superhero tangerine bracelet and earrings! She said the beads were lovely, and the orange was fabulous against her eyes. She told me all the women in her family want ones now ... ! :-) Thank you Andrea, for the happy beauty of your jewelry, and I hope your day was as meaningful as mine was!
