December 16, 2005Jonatha is my supershero
So I got a little giddy tonight seeing this photo. My superhero Jonatha Brooke wearing one of my pieces, belting it out on tour with Joe Cocker all over Europe... When I started my business five years ago, I sent superhero necklaces to five people I admired in the world. Jonatha was at the top of my list. She surprised me by emailing almost immediately and ordering more in every color. A girl gets a little fluttery just thinking about it. If you've never heard Jonatha's music, get yer booty over to her site. She is a bad ass rock star. Posted on December 16, 2005 06:00 PMComments
Hey! I just saw that the Rebar Park(ing) installation got posted at BoingBoing. Congrats! Good morning, just wanted to let you know how much I am enjoying your site! I am in a boring but necessary job at the moment and was desperately looking for something to help me get through my long days behind this desk...and here you are! I've been busy catching up on your archived journal entries and love how much it is opening up for me. All the links, the inspiration, the ideas for creativity, and the sense of community - much needed. How cool is this? By the way, also love the street sign factory tour...what a great week you're having! And, need to join the other's requesting the list of the other 4! Posted by: Tommy Boy at December 19, 2005 07:01 AMThat is so cool! That's the kind of thing that would geek me out, too. I wonder who the other 4 admired people were... :) Posted by: LB at December 18, 2005 05:46 PMA~ A Rock Star wearing your necklaces... how awesome is that! One can't ask for anything better. Most people would start their business with the hoope that someday those five people would buy their product. You just went out and made it happen. And it tickled me to come to your comments box and see someone mention Stephanie Schneiderman...she was a backup singer in a popular Portland band during my PDX years. :) Posted by: Marilyn at December 17, 2005 01:46 AMI had never heard of her, thanks for the tip. She sounds great, I'm gonna get her music. She reminds me a bit of Stephanie Schneiderman, great NW artist: http://www.stephanieschneiderman.com/music/. Same beautiful lyrics...
