"Even if our efforts of attention Comments
wow. that quote speaks to me. i was having the worst month of teaching until last week. i used to think that i was a great teacher but, week after week, my classes were going so bad this month. i kept wanting to quit and even almost did it but i kept telling myself that i am only a bad teacher if i don't go back. i am only a bad teacher if i don't try something each class to make the situation better. last week, the class went great. i barely understand why but it felt exactly like that quote. Posted by: rama at March 22, 2006 02:34 PMThank you...for the gentle reminder. In awareness of beauty and grace, K. Posted by: Kat at March 21, 2006 10:02 PMwonderful match of the poetry and photos. I was in our garden weeding by the poppies last year when a cleap "pop!" startled me. I looked up to see the husk of the poppy bud discarded on the ground and the poppy itself unfurling its glorious petals. It was all wrinkled - like a hastily-packed silk dress being pulled from a suitcase. As I watched, It opened to the sun and the wrinkles faded. I never knew poppies made a popping sound like that. Perhaps that's why they're called poppies. Posted by: Annie at March 20, 2006 05:47 PMAmazing photo.
