we are both

"We are the mirror as well as the face in it.
We are tasting the taste this minute
of eternity. We are pain
and what cures pain, both. We are
the sweet cold water and the jar that pours."

What a wonderful combination, Rumi's words, centuries old, and this beautiful image from our own time.

I can't believe how big you've gotten since I met you at the BlogHer conference (I'm the author who was selling my book, Come Back, across the swag-a-thon aisle from you.) Looks like you're going to have one very big baby boy. I know it was a long, hard wait - I'm so happy for you!

Rumi is so fitting for this striking composition.
I hope you do a photo seminar one weekend in the future.

A beautiful, sensitive portrait. Your work continues to inspire. What a novel approach, having the model look away from the camera.
