Happy Thanksgiving dear ones

I wanted to write something about gratitude today, perhaps a list of what I'm grateful for... but I think you all are going to have to do it for me! I'm feeling a bit sick today, but SO grateful for so many things. (Namely this little person inside me that's making my belly feel achy.)

What are you grateful for?

I am grateful for Jesus dying for our sins and allowing us the opportunity to live with God in Heaven.

I am grateful for my mom. And the fact that this Thanksgiving when she was still recovering from 3 weeks of the flu..that this time I was able to take care of HER....I am grateful that she is still "here", on this earth with me to share holidays, to laugh at and with...I am grateful for her advice even when I don't like it...cause it means that she still cares so deeply for me and my family.. I am grateful right now just to be a daughter and how our honesty has grown and stretched since the death of my dad which opened wounds and exposed so much raw, fresh emotion....Thanks Mom, for just being YOU right now right here at this time in our lives...

Today I'm grateful for the nice hot bath I took, and the tea and muffin that await me now. Just because these are little things that can make you feel alive and which can fill me with gratitude.

As can wonders big and small...Hope you and the little person inside you, feel better today :)

The early 80's khol rimmed Marc Almond alike look on my cat's face.

My cool student for telling me about Sheila Scott Scottish Aviatrix who flew around the world in a purple flying suit with a matching skirt which could be donned when she needed to make a public appearance.

Real coffee in my moka coffee pot - though I didn't realise the link between coffee, aluminium modernism and fascism...

Finding my Holga camera after many months of it being MIA.

Delightful friends

Fabulous soap (Neals Yard orange & geranium best) and Lush Angels on Bare skin.

*That me and my family and friends are healthy
*That I finally have a studio area in my home and that my husband is supportive of my art
*That I am able to stay home with my son
*That the dems won the house and senate majority.
*For my bloggie tribe

Grateful for? Hmmmm...you mean like finding some blogger whose blog is the second one you ever read/found...and you end up making a connection with her...and one day she's right in front of you in the baddest-ass church in the country...with her huge heart and beautiful smile...and her tears...and all you can think to do is hug her and whisper that you believe with all your heart that her heart's desire will come true...on that day when people give meaningless presents and you wish for her instead to receive a true gift...and because goodness sometimes reaps its just rewards, she does... Yeah, I'd say I'm thankful for that...and for you. xoxo

* For my friends - every last one brings something unique and fabulous to my life
* For my two friends who are coming to spend the weekend with me
* For the excuse of making fajitas for dinner and drinking too much wine
* For my open fire on a cold day
* For my wonderful Parisian friend and for Skype for making it easy to keep in touch
* For my tidy bedroom (makes me feel really happy inside when there is no crap on the floor!)
* For People website where I can keep up with the celebrity gossip
* For living in a 'safe' place, free from bombs and war
* For my beautiful nephew and his infectious giggles
* For all my memories. They keep me warm when the world seems cold
* For the ability to dream of a wonderful future...

Wow. I just realized I'm grateful for everything, which probably makes me an annoying person to be around -- but I'm OK with that!

Blessings to you and your family and that baby boy I know all of us can't wait to meet!

Happy Thanksgiving to you. When is the baby due? When I went into labor with Bridget I thought I had gas!

To be able to love
to be able to smile and extend a hand.
breathing air
eating fresh garden produce from Mr Porte's jardin.
having been loved as a child.
choosing simplicity
waking up this morning.
I am thankful for my life.
Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm just grateful- that's it. Too much to put into words right now. Overwhelmed with gratefulness... if I start to list, I fear I may leave something out..
However- always grateful for inspiring women like yourself...

I am grateful for soon-to-be's: My soon-to-be stepson (who turned six today), and my soon-to-be husband.

I have never been so certain in my life, and though tired and full and afraid sometimes, I am grateful for the knowing that comes with love.

What I'm gratful for...
For my beautiful, healthy child.
For having the family here, all together.
For having enough delicious food where we can all eat as much of whatever we want today.
For good friends.
For a safe place to be.
For watching corny holiday specials, and movie marathons.
For pumpkin pie and gourmet coffee.
For having those dear to me here to celebrate another holiday.
And also for you my dear Andrea, and your wonderful inspiring blog, and your paintings, photos, and jewels.
I am grateful for people like you who bless this world with talent and grace.
Happiest of all Thanksgivings to you and your family. :)

You.
My two children.
My kind husband.
My path in Buddhism.
The love in my heart.
The beauty I see all around me in the trees and birds and grass and desert and friends and enemies.
The opportunity to share another Thanksgiving with people who care about me.
