the beach ball look

Okay.
So in the last five minutes (literally) two friends of mine emailed me to say that their pals with the same due date as mine (December 15th) had their babies over the weekend. I am beginning to wonder if this is some sort of secret message from the universe.

Time to get my orders out fast!!

In other news, Ann Benoit (fabulous artist and coaching client of mine) put out a wonderful line of tees that I have a feeling you all are going to love. You can find them here.

Take a deep breath and revel in the peace that you have at this moment - and then remember to revel in the "chaos" that is about to come - and take a deep breath then too. :)

You look so beautiful. Every time I see these pregnant photos of you, my heart explodes with the awe and wonder of life.

May your birth be a crowning moment in your life (heh..pun intended). May your little one come into this world feeling as loved as it is. I send sparkling, showering blessings of magic, power, love and peace to you, Matt and the baby.

YOu look gorgeous! and seeing photos of your lush belly makes me miss that beautiful closeness (hugs from my 18mth old are special but differnt) and though the symbiotic nature of the mother child relationship doesn't change heaps you are experiencing somethjng so special with your child now that you can nver experince again.

also wondering will you be coaching post -baby and do you ever take on OS clients to coach...?

Posted by: bluefaery at November 29, 2006 05:48 PM

Time has flown by! I feel like I just read that you're expecting...and here you are so close to your due date (and me in my 2nd trimester now)! It has been inspiring to read along with you through wanting a child and being pregnant. I'll miss your words and photographs.

Enjoy your maternity leave and everything that comes with it. I want to order a necklace after we find out what we're having. It's either going to be "blue freeze" or "passion"...or maybe "joy" either way. We've got names picked out, but I just couldn't decide on my necklace before tomorrow. :) You'll be back before May, right? Big hugs to you!

I have been reading your blog waaaaay before your pregnancy started...my how time flies!! My sister had her first baby a year ago on December 4th...exactly on her due date. I was home for four days surrounding her due date, crossing my fingers that something would happen during that short time...and it did! I was present for every moment of the delivery which was such an amazing experience. We went through all the natural ways (or wives tales) to induce the labor (pineapple, spicy Indian food, a good long walk, yoga, raspberry leaf tea)...something seemed to do the trick! Just know that you have lots of people who are VERY excited for you!

Posted by: Ali at November 29, 2006 03:16 PM

Wow, it has been fun watching you and your little one grow. It's amazing how fast it happens. I am wishing you a lot of strength (and patience) as the big day approaches.

Your post reminded me that I should order my superhero necklace very soon, so I did. I picked one that I had been admiring for months - a beautiful dream of a necklace - blissful blues, tantilizing turquoise, calming greens and joy!

I'm a professional yoga teacher and for the past two years I've struggled financially with my small business. This past year was one of my best and my superhero necklace is a gift to myself and a shoutout of thanks to the universe.

Abundant blessings to you and your newly expanded family! I know I'll treasure my necklace.

YAAAAY! You're in the home stretch now! I have been trying to send good vibes your way through the whole pregnancy and now you've made it to full-term status. AWESOME! I agree that the baby will decide when it's ready to come - I was 10 days late. My poor mother looked like she was hiding about 3 beachballs under her shirt! Everything went smoothly though and all that matters is that the baby arrives! I'm so excited for you and can't wait to see pictures of your little man! By the way, this may seem like an odd question but have you been playing music for him, or do you plan to at his birth? I only ask because when I fantasize about being pregnant and/or giving birth, I always try to imagine what the first song would be that I would want the baby to hear, either in utero or at its birth. Just wondering if you were thinking those thoughts as well.

Posted by: Piper at November 28, 2006 12:43 PM

In the vein of woman to woman chat that has taken place for centurys, I will say - it dosen't looke like the baby as dropped yet, so you'll probably hang in for awhile :)
You look awsome, and you must be SO EXCITED!! Ah! I just got back from much time spent with small cousins in England, which was so amazing... so the idea of a budding family seems extra exciting to me right now :)

Posted by: Meg at November 28, 2006 09:46 AM

bless you all.......it was a year ago at this time that we here were anxiously awaiting the birth day of our little girl....and we think back to it and just smile and smile at what an absolutely AMAZING time that was....enjoy it!!!!!!
good luck baby and mommy!

Here he comes!!!!! Congrats!!! You have a beautiful belly! I reflect fondly on all the times people told me I was 13 months pregnant - I know it sounds goofy - but just knowing and loving that baby and feeling it grow and grow and grow - that is feeling whole. That is life and love in its complete sense. I wish I could do it again. You are going to be awe struck (literally) at the moment of his birth! Happiness to all of you!

love, rochelle

Andrea, I'm wishing you all the best from the other side of the ocean (Finland). You really do look gorgeous!
I gave birth to my first child, a boy, ten weeks ago. I was quite afraid of the delivery around the middle of the pregnancy but it helped me a lot when I read somewhere that the pain is meant to be a sign for us to go to a safe place and get help. You're not even supposed to survive it on your own. Trusting the professionals and my husband and not even trying to be in control of the situation was my way through it. You can also trust your body, we're made for giving birth! I'm wishing you a safe and smooth delivery. Can't wait to hear the news!

oh, grrl, i'm so excited for you.

My sister was born on the 15th of December! Warning- she was a hell-raiser! I think it had something to do with being born so close to Christmas.
I am sure the little fellow will be an angel dear-I mean, how could he not be with a mommy like you!

Posted by: Laura at November 27, 2006 07:25 PM

Just had to say - I was due with my second girl last December 15th. She arrived the morning of the 12th (after 10 hours in the hospital and my nurse refusing to believe I was in labor I almost delivered her myself when luckily the nurses had a shift change). Anyway, enjoy every moment - even the wait - as I know you will. I would recommend the book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child by Marc Weissbluth - if only for his information on how many naps babies need and at what ages. I had no idea how much they sleep until I read this book with my first in 2003. I should mention, your jewelry inspired me to start creating my own this past July. I have loved every minute of it! Thank you - you look wonderful - and good luck!

Posted by: B at November 27, 2006 06:24 PM

I was two weeks early!!!

It has begun!

Posted by: mary at November 27, 2006 05:56 PM

Awesome tum. Try not to get too wrapped up in when, and just go with the flow. 37 weeks is good. 38 weeks is better. Bigger babies tend to sleep better and you don't know sleep deprivation until you have had a newborn.

Everyone always says you will know when you are in labor, but it took me about an hour to figure it out. I thought I was just having "tummy troubles" from a spicy meal I had eaten. Then I realized that the pain was every two or three minutes and I felt great in between.

Will your lovely and wonderful husband be letting us know when your sweetie arrives? We want to know that he's here and that you are both okay!

Posted by: MamaChristy at November 27, 2006 05:51 PM

Andrea, I am in awe of the fantastic shape of your body! You clearly, as others have stated, are carrying only baby weight. Look at how slim and fit you look everywhere but the belly! I smile when I think of the progression of this pregnancy--from those first weeks of hope and surprise to this current state of "full bloom." My mom, who is a real saint, is born on December 10th--so I'll pull for that date--but whenever he decides to arrive, Saggitarians are fantastic people!

Posted by: Pamela at November 27, 2006 05:31 PM

The tshirts are way cool, but unfortunately since the women's only come in a size L (due to the form fittingness and the fact that you have to order a size larger than you normally wear ...) my bodacious 3x frame won't be getting one.

Sorry ... is a giant pet peeve of mine that not everyone caters to the 40% of the population who are bigger than a size 'large'.
