Oh, I remember those days ... when I felt like we "swayed" nonstop - ultimately we swayed so much we swayed even when we were not the ones holding a baby out of habit. What beautiful photos. I was out here just to nab your URL to mention in my show (Creative Mom Podcast) because I was gifted with awesome Tropical pieces, and I got sidelined here. The baby is so beautiful. Congratulations! Posted by: Amy at January 6, 2007 07:05 AMBeautiful flowers! We had the same sling, after trying 2 others I fell in love with it and we used it so much we basically wore it out by 18 months or so! BEST purchase ever. Another stunning photo set from our Superhero. So beautiful, thank you for posting them. And the family portrait above is about the most wonderful thing possible. Posted by: Shelley Noble at January 2, 2007 05:15 PMit's those days when the sky is intense blue and the magnolias and cherry blossoms are budding everywhere that i really miss not living back in san fran across the stree from the park and the asian gardens...the perfume of it all was transformative! i love these photos... so pretty andrea. Posted by: jenn at December 31, 2006 01:05 PMWhoever came up with the sling idea was a f*&^%$) genius...I see women using them all the time, and I think they're great. Babies always look some warm and cozy in them... Posted by: Jennifer at December 31, 2006 03:36 AMThat's Pretty! Posted by: shelly at December 30, 2006 10:25 AMawwww ... i dropped by to see little ben, but found a beautiful flower instead. he's so beautiful. confession time: i've spent the last few hours looking back to the beginning of your blog and reading it up to now. and i just have to say, you are an inspiration!! ben is a lucky little guy! Posted by: swampgrrl at December 30, 2006 05:46 AMPink in blue the new dance steps! We have that same sling from Kangaroo Korner. My 4 month old has spent quite a lot of time in her sling. I think it has been the best purchase I think I have ever made! It is perfect for San Francisco temperatures! Enjoy your walks with Ben! :o) Posted by: Meshbetty at December 29, 2006 07:52 PMdancing with a baby sounds wonderfully sticky sweet... dancing with a baby sounds wonderfully sticky sweet... Beautiful pictures! Happy new year. Posted by: Brianna at December 29, 2006 12:42 PMOh, how pretty! It looks like springtime and winter is just getting started here. *sigh* If I were in California, I would babysit so you could get some sleep. I remember those days! Posted by: Michelle at December 29, 2006 10:28 AMmemories flooding back. I can remember one sleepless night when my husband took him so I could sleep. I could hear him walking around downstairs in our 1912 home that had been in his family for 40 years. He was walking from room to room, swaying, telling our son all his childhood memories about each room in a soft loving voice. I should have been sleeping, but I just sat on the stairs and watched my husband being a father. Thanks. Posted by: kim in Camas - ScrapToMyLu at December 29, 2006 08:04 AMAhhh, the memories of babies that don't sleep. If you think about it, they begin their little routine in the womb. When was he awake and moving? When you were still. When was he still and sleeping? When you were moving around of course. I'm all for dancing and walks of discovery...I predict many splendid and snuggly family naps in your future! Posted by: Nina at December 29, 2006 06:43 AM:) It feels like spring around here. 50 degress today!! Yikes. Good to know the baby and you are doing all those endearing things! I'll have to remember that fleecey thing for furture baby gifts! Happy New Year. Posted by: mary at December 29, 2006 02:49 AMBeautiful pictures. I wish it were spring already.. but instead it's snowing as I type this. Posted by: luzie at December 29, 2006 01:08 AMbeautiful pictures ! I like the colors and the composition Posted by: jean_christophe at December 28, 2006 11:58 PMoh that is delightful... just all of it really :) that fuzzle bunny wrap is divine... i wonder if they make human sized ones? i wonder if my love loves me enough to carry me around when i'm tired from bushwalking ;) Posted by: Leonie at December 28, 2006 10:30 PMIsn't insane what you'll do to get them to sleep?! Lol. Hang in there girl...in six months hopefully it will seem like a bad dream (the lack of sleep, not beautiful Ben of course). You'll think, "How did I get through that?" I can't answer it...you just do, as you are with your walks. Love that sling. I had a couple, all of which sucked. Wish I'd seen this one! i see what you mean about stopping you in your tracks! gorgeous!!! but also... NOT as gorgeous as BEN! what a cute little chritmas monkey he is! i can imagine you dancing at ungodly hours and laughing in sleep deprived hysteria. thanks for sharing all of it! you're such a great mom!
