January 05, 2007one month
When he starts to wake up from a deep sleep he goes through an entire catalog of faces. These are only a few... ones with a very high cuteness quotient. We joke that they programmed him at the factory with hundreds of faces and he has to practice them every day to keep them fresh. Starting to feel ever so slightly more sane.. stories to come! Your son's face is remarkably expressive! He just reads like such a wonderful little guy. Oh, and the world is so new and miraculous--what I wouldn't give to experience that with the knowledge that it is such a truly good thing. Isn't it wonderful to see what happens when good genes combine! You'll have to share some mommy stories when your life slows back down a bit. Posted by: Pamela at January 10, 2007 03:15 PMThese pictures just made my day! I especially love the first two. :D Posted by: Joy at January 10, 2007 08:07 AMI can not belive it's been a month already. Ben is so sweet Andrea. I'm so happy you and Matt. I was wrong, boy was I wrong. I can just tell despite the no sleep nights you are just loving this mama thing. I think that makes all of us(here) very happy. Posted by: jen b at January 8, 2007 10:09 PMMAJOR cuteness quotient! Dying to hear stories, and glad to hear you got out of the house! This is always fun. Hope your body is doing spectacular! xoxo Posted by: pixie at January 8, 2007 09:16 AMlooks to me like ben's telling his parents (that's you!) that he's going to be spectacular in the photobooth! baby cowboy hat & feather boa??? haha! oh my gosh. he is so cute! Posted by: Christine at January 8, 2007 03:47 AMHard to believe that it has already been a month. He is adorable. In my group of close friends, whenever we think something is cute, we say we want to hurt it (example: "I just wanna spank her until she cries!" Weird, yes, but really, truly meant with love). So it's official: I just wanna bite his little face. He is sooooo cute! Posted by: amy at January 7, 2007 06:22 PMI love it...Ben is just so very cute...I'm laughing at the faces...he looks like daddy...no? Posted by: Leslie at January 7, 2007 05:32 PMHoly hair cuteness!!! He has the most beautiful brown hair! Posted by: Shelba at January 5, 2007 01:54 PMI can't belive he's a month old already! It just steams by doesn't it. I mean, a month to me isn't hat much, but it's 100% of his life right now. And I'm so eager to hear the stories. How was the labor, etc etc. I feel a little greedy saying that, so I'm releaved you mentioned it first ;) Holy Shiza. My favorite is the second picture! I busted out laughing when I saw it, so very cute! Ben reminds me of my baby brother when he was an born. I was four at the time. I fell in love with him the day he came home from the hospital and when I look at your pictures of Ben my heart fills up with those wonderful memories of him as a baby because they look so much alike as babies. Now, he's 32, so not quite the same as before. :D Posted by: Michele Annette at January 5, 2007 11:11 AMoy! all these (and past) pictures are taking me back to 5 years ago when i had my first. the faces, the sounds, the smell, the touchs...it was all so great. and it gets better if you can believe it! congratulations! Posted by: Shelley Noble at January 5, 2007 10:31 AMThose pictures make me feel all fuzzy. Glad to see that sanity is once again entering the picture. I'm finished having kids, but when I see such a beautiful, happy baby, I think... maybe one more? No, I'll just be happy for you. He's lovely. Posted by: owenora at January 5, 2007 10:21 AMHe's stunning ... well done :) I remember, a million years ago when my daughter was young, I was introduced to the idea of 'lactation dementia' (childbirth is the only pre-requisite for this condition) and it has you putting the iron in the fridge and forgetting the name of something simple. I used it shamelessly for years (... a gift from the sisterhood lol). Posted by: Di at January 5, 2007 10:20 AMIf we could all achieve the bliss that the first photo reflects. (I think I hover between #2 and #4 far too often!) Posted by: deezee at January 5, 2007 10:18 AMWe used to make them 'speak' when they were making those faces... I squee each time I see him! Posted by: blackbird at January 5, 2007 10:05 AMI love that first one - he looks so blissed out. I can't believe it's been a month!
