May 07, 2007my trusty old camera
I've decided to finally let my trusty old Canon Digital Rebel go... I recently upgraded to the Xti and would like to offer it up to one of you for a great price. I've taken amazing photos with it over the years (with the 18-55mm kit lens) and have loved it beyond measure. Here are the details: The only quirk of this camera is that it doesn't let you use the pop up flash in any mode other than "P." If you read my blog entry entitled "Put it on P" you will understand why I NEVER EVEN NOTICED this until this week. (An external flash will work on any setting and the pop up flash works perfectly on P.) So that's it! This is a perfect camera to get one of you started in the world of digital photography. Comments
MSN I NIIPET Girl, you've got some gorgeous lips! Have you noticed? Posted by: Surcie at May 8, 2007 06:55 PMOh, yay, an XTi! I bought one of those in the winter, partly inspired by your photos with the XT. It looks (from your pictures, I mean) as though you didn't get one of the XTi's with the busted light meter--I was going to tell you to make sure and send it back for repair if you did. Mine was broken right out of the box, and for months I thought it was me. Once Canon fixed it for me, the love affair really took off. Enjoy, enjoy! Posted by: Dr. S at May 8, 2007 07:42 AMThe Rebel 300d was a great camera, my first DSLR! Upgraded it to the EOS 5d a year ago... Posted by: Charles Betz at May 8, 2007 05:05 AMaww. i'm a day too late. it would have been awesome to own your camera. I bought a used one on ebay for about the same price and love it. Posted by: Tom Mohan at May 8, 2007 12:31 AMYes, I too would love to own your camera just because, well, it was yours. Is that stalkerish? What can I say - you got the mojo, girl. I recently treated myself to a Nikon D40, though, and it is not too shabby. So I'll look forward to more great pix with your upgraded model. Just wanted to take this opportunity to worship you a little. :) P.S. Love this self-portrait! Posted by: Teri at May 7, 2007 07:50 PMjust to interject: the built in flash DOES work with the manual settings, you just have to manually turn it on. There's a little button above the lens release button which will make it go "pop!" The built in flash also works with all the automatic settings automatically (huh, look at that!). But don't bother using automatic, do what andrea does and put it on P... or do it all manual. Here are pictures I've taken, almost exculsively with the Digital Rebel: http://www.yesterdayslife.com/photofront/mollymerrick okay! the end.
