If so, I'd like to inquire about pricing on longer necklaces - I'm on the short side (5 feet), but definitely not on the petite side other wise, with a neck that could use something a little longer than just choker length. If you could let me know, I'd really appreciate it. And thanks again for yet another beautiful photo! Posted by: Jennifer at August 22, 2007 05:58 PMAnother bonus is that Sigg is made in Switzerland, while Klean Kanteen (stainless steel) is made in China which doesn't usually bode well for their practices. Sigg is awesomely European. :) Posted by: Rae at August 22, 2007 11:25 AMImmaculee spoke at the international women's conference (WomenSpeak) this past March in San Antonio that I co-chaired (the same one that SARK led a session at). I had read the book, but hearing her speak in person was so very moving. There is a quiet peace that radiates from her and, not surprisingly, a deep strength. I sat there in tears afterward because it made me question whether I could have such strength in the face of fear. Real fear is something so foreign to me, safety something I'm a bit ashamed to say I take for granted, and listening to her made me feel so deeply grateful for my way of life. Another really strong, quiet voice at that conference was Rachel Naomi Remen. If you've not read her book Kitchen Table Wisdom, it's another great read! Posted by: Pamela at August 22, 2007 09:42 AMThanks for sharing all of these recommendations! The artwork is just absolutely beautiful. I'm thinking about buying some for my daughter's room (due in November). I want to surround her with healthy images of women (and not the Disney Princesses). Posted by: Lisa at August 22, 2007 08:18 AMI just bought a Sigg bottle last week, for the same reasons. The internet is generating a lot of business for the Swiss these days! I'm very very happy with it so I don't mind at all. Wow! That is so weird about the Sigg bottles because we just went to the Elephant Pharm in Los Altos yesterday so I could get my much awaited Sigg. I love that store and I had a coupon for one of those bottles. I got the pink one with the heart that says "love" on it:) I looked at the baby ones for my son, Samuel Benjamin (9mos) :) I did not get it because he is really into tossing everything over the side of his stroller these days! I figured it would get destroyed but I wish I had gotten him one. They are really cute and they were on sale for 11.99! May I also recommend the Born Free sippy cups for the little ones! They are also free of those chemicals that are in regular plastic bottles. Anyway, you are awesome and your retreat is such a brilliant idea. Also, thank you again for the Monday assignments. I did a catch up on them today while we are on our vacation get away in Half Moon Bay and it was sooo fun. I found hearts and faces from home to the ocean and back:) xo-L Posted by: Leia at August 21, 2007 11:39 PMJust discovered Sigg last week, too! LOVE IT! I just wish I would have gotten a bigger bottle for as much water as I drink. I love the baby ones for Ben. So cute! I love your pictures! I good way to entertain myself while stuck in the cubicle. Posted by: Mindy at August 21, 2007 12:38 PMNever met Denise, but I read her journal constantly (as much as yours!). She is completely inspirational to me, as we follow similar paths in life. She even inspired me to buy a juicer. There, I said it. :) Overall though, I just feel enormously blessed to have found a collection of wonderful people online who I connect with so much spiritually, even if they are not aware of my existence! Posted by: Belinda at August 21, 2007 12:35 PMi third that! and second what jen says. she's all kinds of dreamy. xoxo Posted by: schmoops at August 21, 2007 11:23 AMi second that! and i confess to a smushy girl crush. the weekend wouldnt have been nearly as wonderful without her being there. denise has one of the most sweetest kind of hearts and this makes her so easy to be around. she also is a brilliant photographer whom i could learn loads from.
