Self Portrait Challenge: What I Wear Week 4

what_I_wear_curvy.jpg
joy necklace and curvy jeans, Canon Rebel XTI

I have been wanting to submit to the Self Portrait Challenge for ages and was inspired by some of my friends' entries this month. I am wearing my trusty superhero necklace in joy and my brand new jeans. I wouldn't normally mention who makes these jeans, but I was delighted to find a pair that fit my curvy booty! They are the Gap curvy jeans... apparently the ones that Oprah raves about.

And two other delights
Superhero necklace giveaway over at Design Mom this week! as well some other giveaways... So fun!

and the most wonderful photos I've seen in a long time (by Jan Von Holleben)

I like your necklaces. I've heard about them over at Boho's. I love the coloured beads with the black tee and denims.
I am curvy and I *heart* gap denims. I've worn three pairs, exactly the same style, out. Out as in holes from so much wear. The first place to go, my thighs . . . of course!

quick question for ya: how are you able to hand-hold your camera and get such crisp shots? what settings do you use? (asked by a shaky-handed chick!)

Discovery of a good pair of jeans is an event worth commemorating.

I have on my Joy necklace today, as I do almost everyday. Some days I wear it because I wake up joyful, somedays I wear it because I dont... putting it on is my wee ritual to remember that i can choose joy. Maybe, sometimes...

Every day I wear it because it is beautiful.

I have to say, I clicked over here, and I was like, DAMN, those are some cute jeans! She looks cute! I'm not sure I'm curvy enough to fit into them, but I might try. See? Excuses to be curvy are great.

That is a mighty fine self portrait!
Of course, you wouldn't have posted it if it sucked.
The model is mighty slammin too.

I have to chime in, I love Gap's Curvy jeans. In a sea of ultra low slim jeans, finally something that fits the booty!

Posted by: Stacia at November 26, 2007 07:10 PM

You should try the Gap "Essential" jeans too. They go especially well with my superhero chlorine necklace.

I bought a pair of those curvy jeans and I absolutely love them!

You've had way better luck with the Gap Curvy jeans than I. I was so excited when they came out, but they still fit like a cylinder on me - the waist is huge for me! Doh. I found Macy's Charter Club jeans work great for my big boo-tay.

Very nice picture! Those jeans look so comfy, and sexy.

I want my hair to learn what your hair can do.
