Posted by: michelle/tangled wings at April 14, 2008 11:08 AMoh wow mommma mondo belly.....I absolutely love this photo...lucky lady to have such a treasure to keep Posted by: Leslie at April 13, 2008 04:38 PMI love to read your recommendations. Just wanted to say also that since you went on a media diet...I've been thinking a lot. I don't watch TV, but when I stopped to reflect on my usage of time, I realized that I was wasting a LOT on the internet. Not only was I wasting time, I was distracted from the important REAL things in my life. So this last week I made some rules for myself. I checked email morning and night only and decided to save ALL my surfing and blog-reading for Sunday. I enjoyed my week so much, got so much done, felt very present with my boys, and more. So, I decided it will be my way of life from now on. I can't wait to see what things will take the place of that time-waster in my life, but I know it will be good stuff. Thanks for gently pushing me into something I had been thinking about for some time. Posted by: Kim at April 12, 2008 09:20 PMWow, I am envious. I wish I had taken pictures of my pregnant belly. Now, I am left with the reality of my girls which is great. My little one would crawl back into my belly if she could, she will forever remain my baby. Congrats. XO Posted by: Thea at April 12, 2008 04:36 PMLove The Weepies! Speaking of, I just read a great write up on them in Paste Magazine - and noticed Deb Talan was wearing one of your Superhero necklaces in the pic! I love it when cools collide. :) Posted by: Sarah at April 12, 2008 01:59 PMActually, I've got my own personal photo challenge going on - I got my very first digital camera, well my own actual first camera - on my 40th birthday about 6 months ago. I'm pretty excited about it (it's just a point and shoot thing, really), and one of my colleagues at work is excited for me too. My co-worker Angelo is really a photographer/broadcast guy by trade and paycheck and he's really been giving me a lot of encouragement. I've been talking to him quite a bit about what sorts of pictures I've been taking lately which are basically my young nieces and one nephew. One thing he said last week really struck a chord with me, which is that you really need to take advantage of those opportunities while you can, because you just never know when you might not have them again....I think you sort of have that mindset, and I don't think I personally realized that until recently. So thanks, and keep up all the good stuff you put out there for all of us! Posted by: Jennifer at April 12, 2008 12:45 PM |
