Why I am moving at the speed of light

For any of you last minute folks out there, I can still do Express Mail overnight shipping to get your orders to you for Mother's Day. (I am only offering bulls eye pendants with this option though)

Apparently moving at the speed of light, trying to get all my orders out this season and watching Ben all at the same time isn't without its flaws. I have been double shipping lots of people and I am so grateful that you all are so honest! Thank you for letting me know!

I am slowing coming to terms with the fact that my short term memory is shot to hell and I might never fully recover it. My friends who are in their sixties told me about an article they read on new moms' brains. Apparently they look the same as sixty-something year olds' brains! So there is a biological reason why I am mildly insane right now.

That said, I've been known to overcompensate for my flaws and send you way more necklaces than you even ordered!

I just belly laughed over how sweet he is. That total hyper and excited thing they do at that age...brings back some major memories. All I could think though is how it must make you feel to watch him, both happy and NERVOUS at the same time. I still get that just watching him...don't trip baby, don't dart out in cars baby, slow down...ooh, you're gonna fall, breath slower. LOL

Great camera work there mom!

I want more Ben vids...that made my day. He's such a sweetie boy.

Wow! He's fast. It's been awhile since I had a wee one that age. I'd forgotten how quickly they motor around once they catch on!

I received my pendant and I LOVE it!! Thanks!!

Oh, I love all the sweet baby noises!! How excited he is! It makes me laugh too because it reminds me of how my son's curious little spirit has to check out each and every detail as we make our way. Just walking from the house to the car can sometimes take 10 minutes ;)
And if you really live that close to a park, that is awesome!

you make me want to shoot, post, and write

Posted by: Sunny Jade at May 7, 2008 07:16 AM

I love the pure joy he shows as he runs down the street! I think my favorite part of the videos is when he stopped and waved good-bye to the car. Absolutely joyful!

Posted by: andrea at May 7, 2008 06:50 AM

Listen to the glee in his voice! Oh, my gosh. He is just so cute.

Ben is the most wonderful slice of heaven and joy. As someone who doesn't know you but has read your blog for years (I check repeatedly, daily, for new entries) sometimes I forget the struggle that you went through to get to this point. When I remember my heart explodes with happiness for you, your wait resulted in the most joyful child I have ever seen. You are so blessed. And your readers, like me, are so blessed to get these little rays of sunshine through your blog.

how in the world did you take that video? were you walking backward the entire time? That made my day thought...so cute. And I really love that he likes airplanes. That just warms my heart. :)

i love how little ben is a fast little mover but is stopped by any other movement or sound.
he reminds me of you.
ready to take the world by storm but wise enough to notice the details along the way.

My 3 month old daughter is fascinated with Ben! She was sitting in my lap when I played the video and she was transfixed - so I played it again and she smiled and waved her arms and legs the whole time. Totally cute video - go Ben go!

If only we could live our whole lives with a Ben's-eye-view of things!
My little guy & gal are already 2 1/2 - the wonders of their joy never cease.

This is *exactly* how I walk. Stopping to look at things, slowing down when I feel like it, and then remembering where I'm going and quickening my pace.

Ben is looking especially beautiful, as is your entire family.

I keep meaning to email to update you on life and how good things are lately, but for now, I'll let you know that I:

A. Lost my old job
B. Took 6 months to find a new job
C. Worked at my favorite music venue doing an internship
D. Found a dream job working for a non-profit community center learning development.

I always remember your advice to dream big and not allow my gremlins to overwhelm me. I know there's more, lots more, but for now, on this beautiful Tuesday afternoon, I just wanted to say thanks and thanks for sharing your life, it looks wonderful, as always.

Oh.My.Goodness. SO ADORABLE!!! My daughter Norah has just started walking this week, and doesn't that slightly wobbly and extremely enthusiastic walk just tug every one of your heart strings?! Andrea, I love that you filmed this at Ben's height - we don't often get a sense of what it is like for a prolonged period of time at that height in the world. How on earth did you film it - on your knees? :) Hearing your breath made me smile, because those little ones can go so darn fast, and it sure demands that mommies be in good shape (as you obviously are!) if we want to keep up! Thanks for sharing - it's always a pleasure to visit your blog.
