My beautiful Ben,

I just want to tell you how happy I am to be your mama. I'm so glad you picked me.
I love you,
mama

P.S. Sorry about the horrendous haircut. We'll even it out next time.

Happy Mother's Day to all of you mothers, aunties, godmothers, and friends to little ones! The world needs you so much.

He does look like such a little boy now! It happens so incredibly fast.

Here's a picture of my little guy Luke's first haircut: http://crookedhouse.typepad.com/crookedhouse/2007/10/we-do-not-have-.html

He had a lip on to match sweet Ben's.

If you look in the background of the third picture there is quite a little visual puzzle. For a moment I thought "oh no, is there a baby on that table?" Then I realized it's a mirror reflecting someone nearby. Tricky.

Happy (late) Mother's Day!

Is that hair cut horrendous? I'm so smitten with Ben I thought it was adorable.

I'm feelin' yah on the molars. My little guy, Jace, is getting about 4 of them in right now and it's the saddest thing ever.

I hope you had a fabulous Mother's Day and thanks for sharing the pictures!

What a precious boy Ben is. Just want to squeeze him!

Funny...I just gave my son, Griffin (a week younger than Ben), a haircut a week ago. My amazing mother-in-law gave me a trick that works like a charm - I just put Grif in his highchair, put my laptop on the kitchen table with Baby Einstien playing and give him a popsicle (this is Nana's secret weapon) to keep him busy (a bath will follow anyway from the haircut!). He sits there mesmerized and is oblivious to the snip snip snip going on around him. It's a bit messy, but this was his THIRD hair cut and it's getting easier and easier!

Here are a couple pics I just had to share being the Mom that I am - http://s35.photobucket.com/albums/d198/akoenig/?action=view¤t=b948747c.pbw

Happy Mother's Day to you - and thank you for all the inspiration you give. I stop by your blog every couple days and it is so nice to know that even though you don't KNOW someone, you are still connected, even if it is just by the daily grind of being a 30-something mom that is mothering a 16 month old and all of the chaos/fun/frustration/love/wonder that comes with that.

Love the molar and the haircut, but I have a question about your backpack! What does it look like? I've noticed the green straps before (in some other picture?), and I'm curious! Where did you get it?

In related news, is Ben drooling like a madman? My girl is growing molars too, and her shirts are drenched in a u-shaped drool stain by afternoon (or sooner).

What sweet, sweet pictures!

just wait till he discovers that he can cut his own hair!

hope you had a blissful mothers day. i know you did.

peace.

Oww. Molars?

I hope you had a happy day.

Posted by: blackbird at May 12, 2008 04:15 AM

still spectacularly cute even in his pain and his haircutting....what i would do to kiss away those tears. (and now i shudder as i think one of the boys is starting the molar phase. ack).

I'm just wondering if he knew in that 3rd picture that he wasn't going to get an even haircut?
Happy Mum's Day to you.

Happy mother's Day!! I was thinking of you today, as I celebrated my "first" mother's day, and how special it is. I was thinking how you must have felt, having gone through your trials trying to get pregnant and then having ben. I struggled with fertility myself and then miscarriages and so watching you go through it and then be blessed with ben, was exciting for me to see from this side of the computer. Finally, our struggle came to an end and we were blessed with this beautiful girl!!!
Great post! Love your website, such an adorable boy!!
I have linked to you on my site, as I am a regular superhero reader!!!
