Saying yes, opening up, and loving:

I got some peonies on sale 3 days ago. I bought the tightest buds of the bunch- despite my daughter's protest. they were hard, dull balls. I wanted to watch them open. Unclench along with them. Today one is full, and the others are still opening.

Is your photo for sale Andrea?

For those of you who are curious about the effect on this photo, I used textures by Jesh De Rox... who is an incredible photographer and sells really beautiful textures you can layer your photos with.

That photo is breathtaking! How did you achieve that filtered effect? It makes a gorgeous photo look ethereal.

Thanks for this photo. It seems a natural follow-up from your last post. The atmosphere of this photograph evokes the experience of the deep inside for me. For whatever reason today, it helped me integrate my view of the inside and outside of people. I sometimes forget that everyone else has that part inside of them, too. It's hard to remember sometimes when you mostly see the outside of people but experience yourself inside.

What a beautiful quote and photo. I have been reading your blog for a while and you always touch me with the right words and beautiful photos. It is comforting to know that there are people like you on the same planet as me. thank you.

what a delish photo!

I'm doing quite a stressful job at the moment and a few days ago I nipped into a flower shop bought the last Peony for £2 and put it in a blue waterbottle which I've had on my windowsill for ever and love looking at it.

How beautiful... both the photo and the quote.
