July 02, 2008Guitar HeroThis scene just preceded the entire family contracting hand foot mouth. Sounds like a cattle disease, right? Thank you for all of your internship inquiries! I will get back to you as soon as I emerge... And I was so inspired by some of you asking about virtual internship possibilities. Brilliant idea folks. I would love to have someone with web design and graphic design experience to collaborate with. Let me know if that might be you! Posted on July 2, 2008 12:47 PMComments

Mamma letta letta letta letta letta mamma letta letta letta letta... Ben unplugged, can't wait until he goes electric. Posted by: Tom Mohan at July 6, 2008 07:37 AMWhat more does any mommy want her boy to do than sing her a song with the word 'mommy' in.. it is sooo adorable! He is a real sweetie pie! But he must get that from his mama and daddy! Mmmmm... what do you think will be his stage name one day? You must feel so proud?! He is such a sweetie pie! xx Posted by: linni at July 5, 2008 02:52 PMWhat more does any mommy want her boy to do than sing her a song with the word 'mommy' in.. it is sooo adorable! There as no "let me put this away or give me a minute or what-not". You are a wonder~full mother. :) Posted by: Trisha at July 5, 2008 11:50 AMoh my lord!!!kisses. and those american accents! Posted by: katie at July 5, 2008 01:52 AMSomebody give this boy an IQ test, he's brilliant. And adorable. Posted by: Shannon White at July 4, 2008 10:17 AMOH! I just want to eat him up! Posted by: lisa at July 4, 2008 08:12 AMI love that you show your real life. Posted by: brandi at July 4, 2008 06:13 AMOHMYGOD, that is beyond adorable. Although, Mama? As the mate of a leftie who had to teach himself to play drums right-handed because 'everyone' said all the great drummers played that way, I hope Ben will be allowed to be an ambidextrous guitarist. ;) One of my favorite moments is at 2:09...where he sneaks a sly upward glance...as if to say, "Is he still recording this?" :) Posted by: Marilyn at July 3, 2008 07:25 PMOh. My God. I LOVE the way he greeted you when you walked in the door. You are an amazing lady, and that little boy is all the proof we need. Posted by: Lindsay at July 3, 2008 07:00 PMA, you still looking for a designer to collaborate with? it is second nature to me. let me know. Posted by: lu at July 3, 2008 05:32 PMOMG, go Ben! How cute are you?! Posted by: Caroline at July 3, 2008 04:02 PMI love his "encore" where he tosses the guitar and comes back for more action. Too. Cute. :) Posted by: kristen fischer at July 3, 2008 03:57 PMThat was the cutest video. It just warmed my heart :o) You have such a beautiful family! I hope everything's going fine the the hand foot mouth stuff... I had to google it to figure what it was... you're right, it does sound like that hoof & mouth cow thing. Happy 4th! cutest. thing. ever. i will be singing it all day... looks like you know a couple chords yourself. superhero and musician... ; ) xoxo Posted by: schmoops at July 3, 2008 11:34 AMso cute! Man, Ben is so frick'n cute, I can't stand it! Awesome guitar Ben!! He should be coming out with his first album soon, right? Ha ha! Well Andrea, I am a graphic designer, but I specialize in vinyl graphics. You have helped me so much in the past! I know you don't even remember and that is perfectly fine! ;) Send me a .pdf or .eps of your logo and I will print up 100 decals for you FREE! Seriously! It's the least I can do. And who doesn't love stickers?! :) Email me girl! Just receive and keep spreading the Love!:) Love, Michele Posted by: Michele at July 3, 2008 09:17 AMI love when he leans back in the chair to play. Ben is so adorable! About that housekeeper comment, her house isn't even messy! Is it the ball on the floor or the coat on the chair? Big deal! Toddler or no toddler, that room is organized. Oh, and I love the trampoline as a coffee table. Great Idea! Posted by: Jackie at July 3, 2008 09:05 AMthat was soooo wonderful. such a beautiful way to start one's day, giggling along with ben's singing. he really is one talented lil' guy! Posted by: vivienne at July 3, 2008 08:53 AMI LOVE this video! It made me laugh and cry and miss y'all so much... As ever, Ben is absolutely amazing (and endlessly adorable). And his parents are wonderful, too! As for the snarky commenter, I have to say that it seems completely bizarre to me that someone would watch this video and focus on whether your home seems cleaned up, rather than on your beautiful and inspired child, the lovely vibe between you, Matt, and Ben, the blessed creativity at work in your household, etc. There's that phrase "missing the forest for the trees"? KR's comment strikes me as a sad example of missing the beauty of the world entirely... Hope you all are soon healthy and well and rocking out together. Posted by: sara at July 3, 2008 08:05 AMThis is adorable! This is going to sound incredibly dorky, but I am currently finishing up a degree in music education and music performance and this is THE PERFECT example of the first of six stages people go through when they learn how to sing. Its called the babbling stage. Anyways it's amazing to see it happening outside of boring classroom videos! Keep them coming. Posted by: Sarah at July 3, 2008 07:52 AMBen is scrumptous! I enjoyed seeing his musical prowess. Andrea, your home is lovely, lived in and filled with laughter. These are the interior design elements most essential. Rays of sunshine to you. Love, Trish Posted by: Patricia at July 3, 2008 07:22 AMI adore Ben's songwriting skills. So wonderful! I love how he is singing about you before you come home. "Mama lidlelidlelidle. Mama lidlelidlelidle." It is a great video. Thanks so much for sharing it. I love Ben videos. I truly do. I'm sure it makes us all feel like virtual aunties. Rebecca F. Posted by: Rebecca F. at July 3, 2008 07:07 AMKitzia romero...judgemental much? And the 'Liddlediddeldiddeldillel' (have I spelt that correctly? ;) song is about the.cutest.thing.I.have.ever.seen. Posted by: Caroline at July 3, 2008 05:53 AMFrom waiting for him to arrive, to the announcement of his arrival, to the days of not sleeping enough, to this. I am enthralled. It's fun watching him grow. Posted by: W. Lotus at July 3, 2008 05:45 AMi was in a grumpy mood this morning until i logged online and watched this. i havent stopped smiling yet. sooooo adorable. i love how he would hand it to you and then change his mind and take it back and start playing. silly ben. Posted by: celisa at July 3, 2008 05:43 AMI have no web design or graphic design abilities at all. Booooooo :-( However.... I make fantastic virtual cups of tea. You'd be a fool not to hire me! (hehehehe) Posted by: katie at July 3, 2008 03:54 AMAbsolutely gorgeous! Ben is a star already! Oh and the previous commenter who said you need a housekeeper obviously doesn't have a toddler, a family, a career and a life to maintain! What a ridiculous thing to say. A happy family is so much more important than a clean house. My brother and I had hand foot mouth when we were kids. Not a fun time at all. Wishing you wellness very soon! Posted by: Jennifer/The Word Cellar at July 2, 2008 08:45 PMThat was so cute..I love it. And I love how you can see how much you love him just by how you look at him. What a cutie he is. Posted by: Jennifer at July 2, 2008 08:39 PMJulia and I just watched Ben playing his guitar! I would like you to know that Ben has a new fan. Julia, who is 21 months, sat on my lap and danced! Now she is demanding to watch again. How utterly charming he is, and how utterly charming you are... the whole thing is delightful. (Thanks to your Matt for recording this.) Posted by: romanlily at July 2, 2008 07:11 PMOh Andrea, he's SO adorable!!! Sending you all healing hugs...hope you feel better real soon!!! Omagawd. Cutest. Thing. Ever. Ben's delight at seeing you and calling you "MAMA!" man, that's got to feel great! Remember, save these clips for his biopic after international musical stardom. His fans will enjoy it. :) Posted by: Shelley Noble at July 2, 2008 05:54 PMHi Andrea. I'd love to help. I have 12 years graphic and web experience. Take a look at my site and let me know. I embrace life and my designs, with more of an organic approach. I am all about collaborative efforts. :) (I also design jewelry on the side. I have a fertility totem line of jewelry coming out for women experiencing fertility issues (myself included). It's an awesome little line.
