As the mate of a leftie who had to teach himself to play drums right-handed because 'everyone' said all the great drummers played that way, I hope Ben will be allowed to be an ambidextrous guitarist. ;) One of my favorite moments is at 2:09...where he sneaks a sly upward glance...as if to say, "Is he still recording this?" :)

my son go hand foot and mouth from daycare 2 years ago. Then he gave it to my husband. my son had a really bad case and was in terrible pain for two weeks. hopefully you have better luck. keep eating ice cream, they love it on their little mouthes.

As for the snarky commenter, I have to say that it seems completely bizarre to me that someone would watch this video and focus on whether your home seems cleaned up, rather than on your beautiful and inspired child, the lovely vibe between you, Matt, and Ben, the blessed creativity at work in your household, etc. There's that phrase "missing the forest for the trees"? KR's comment strikes me as a sad example of missing the beauty of the world entirely...

This is going to sound incredibly dorky, but I am currently finishing up a degree in music education and music performance and this is THE PERFECT example of the first of six stages people go through when they learn how to sing. Its called the babbling stage. Anyways it's amazing to see it happening outside of boring classroom videos! Keep them coming.

We just found out that our 2 year old daughter has hoof and mouth too. Which means that my husband got it first (from a co worker with kids who had it). I'm just glad to know that there is a reason for her fever and clinginess. I'm pregnant and haven't gotten it yet, cross my fingers.
My brother and I had hand foot mouth when we were kids. Not a fun time at all. Wishing you wellness very soon!

As for hand, foot & mouth- oh no! When DD Zoe (now 6) was 18 mos she got it one June and between the three of us it lasted 3 weeks and it was painful! I feel for you guys! I hardly know a family in our playgroup who's little ones didn't get it one summer when they were tiny tots. Take care of each other and hopefully it will be gone quickly!
OH MAN that was CUTE! I need to get me one of those mini guitars, my kids would go crazy. He is super cute!
