The irony is that one of Jonatha's songs came on my i-pod yesterday while I was running in the sun and it made me start smiling. A few moments later I realized that some teenagers had stolen my shirt and water bottle and it didn't bother me as I was still happy from the song!

Now she doesn't know me, we only met once, about 13 years ago at a concert she gave at Crane's Castle in Ipswich, MA. ... but my then husband and I who were big fans of Jonatha introduced them to his little girls 3 and 6 at the time and she dedicated a song to them during her show ... they promptly went to sleep and we held them for 1 1/2 long, sweaty hours during an awesome show. Now I have my own baby girl (okay, she is actually 9.5) - she was a breath away from being named Amelia (Angel in the House reference) - but now I'd like to introduce her to TODAY'S Jonatha.

I got to meet Jonatha last November when she was in Cincinnati, WOW, what a wonderful show. Recently I was going through some old Guitar magazines and found an article on Jonatha & Woody in the July 1999, No.79 'Acoustic Guitar' magazine. The article on Jonatha was in the Jump Street section called "Live it up" and talked about her Live CD as well as pushing the single, 'Because I Told You So'. The article on Woody was called the "Dust-Bowl Diaries". Also covered was the The Woody Guthrie Archives and the traveling exhibit at the Autry Museum of Western Heritage in Los Angeles - This Land Is Your Land: "The Life and Legacy of Woody Guthrie"

Jonatha will now be part of Woody's legacy as well - WOW!

You know, you can never have enough Jonatha music. I have already order the new CD but getting another would be more to share.
