February 10, 2009NYC + friends + good bagels = true love
Just returned from NYC and I am in love! I have been to the city many times but saw it with new eyes this time around. It was magic. I am a lucky girl. A couple of dear friends lovebombed me with a surprise ticket to NYC where the sole purpose would be to eat and laugh and take photos. They hatched this scheme with the help of Matt and before I knew it I was on an airplane and away for 4 days... Valentine's Day update: A few of each of these: Plus: Posted on February 10, 2009 10:15 AM Comments

To be swathed up, cradled and wrapped in such affection is pure jubiliation! Rebecca, think of the word 'bombarded' this doesn't have an uncomfortable feel to it. Lovebomb just has to be viewed from another angle. To be 'bomb'arded in love, friendship and appreciation is a gift. As a reader of Andrea's posts you know that this spectacular woman doesn't possess an unkind word in her vocabulary or bone in her body. No need to be too PC just trying expanding your own interpretations of this 'Andreaism'. Love to you both, Andrea and Rebecca, Trish I'm so glad the chickies lovebombed you!! Xoxo Posted by: Gypsy at February 11, 2009 09:41 PMWow, that is just awesome-- my eyes glaze over when someone mentions NYC and I go to a 'happy place'. I've never been there, but there's something about the way people gush about it that has made me very keen to make a beeline there. I was remarking to a friend recently about how my partner had been really attentive, generous and thoughtful; and how lucky I was to have him. She just smiled knowingly and said "water seeks it's own level". I think the same principle applies to friends :-) Posted by: Laura at February 11, 2009 08:45 PMoooohhh did you go to B&H photographic supplies? Posted by: creativevoyage at February 11, 2009 01:11 PMomg, my husband just did this very thing for me...but I'm going to San Fran (leave in two weeks). How awesome! Oooh, and I just got the Diana for Christmas but haven't used it yet. Do you like it? What's the learning curve? I have film in it but that's about it. :) you are just so lovebombable. Posted by: kristin at February 10, 2009 06:56 PMDid you get a new camera or is that your friend's? Love, How cool of your friends to whisk you away like that. New York City is the bomb. Love it there and can't wait to see the way you captured it through your lense. Posted by: Jen A. at February 10, 2009 02:55 PMI'm glad you had a wonderful trip to New York! I saw this and thought of you: http://pleasefindthis.blogspot.com/ Wishing you all the best in the new year! Cheers, Jen in Ohio Posted by: Jen in Ohio at February 10, 2009 02:16 PMI hear Lovebomb and all I can think of is the B52s (sing it now) "... at the Love Shack, Baby!" Such a fine idea. Sounds like fun. When I hear lovebomb, I think 'explosion of love', which I believe it was intended as. In fact, according to the dictionary, one definition of 'bomb' is "... a great success : hit; slang : one that is striking or extraordinary —used with the ...." I think Andrea has evidenced through her writing that she thoughtful and sensitive when it comes to the meaning of words; she chose the combination of words she meant to. She *didn't* use the phrase 'twin towers'- that came from your own connotation toward the word bomb. Perhaps a look inward would lead you to why this bothers you so much.
